David’s practice explores ideas of non-linear narratives and theories of interconnectivity. His work is a mapping of seemingly unrelated histories, objects, places and events which shift between an irreverence and a more personal contemplative exchange. He often references religious ceremony and investigates the understandings and connections between the physical world and transmission beyond. He attempts to re-present and restructure disjointed and lost histories; piecing together a constructed mess of fearful hope. He has exhibited widely in Australia over the past ten years and has recently moved to London. Alongside his solo practice he also works with Australian artist Korin Gath as the performance collaborative d&k.
