Fredrik K.B., ARBS

At the age of five, when asked by adults what he wanted to be when he grew up, Fredrik K.B. (born 1978 in Oslo, Norway) answered: "I already am a sculptor; I just have not started sculpting yet".
As a twenty year old he traveled to Italy to realize his dream. Having carved his first sculpture alone in the white marble mountains, he was given the opportunity to work in one of the marble studios in Pietrasanta. Here he learned the craftsmanship of working the marble from artists and marble workers. But most important; he got to develop his own distinctive style.

Today, Fredrik lives outside Amsterdam, where he also has his studio. He alternates between working in Norwegian granite and Italian marble.
