18@108 – SCULPTORS ON SCULPTURE Discover what sculptors bring to a particular medium and what the medium brings to a sculptor. Relaxed and informal evenings to be enjoyed by both practicing sculptors and those who have an interest in sculpture, unique and inspiring. Unique because they allow us to engage in a natural way with each artist, bringing us closer to the physical, emotional and mental processes which feed into a single work of art. Inspiring because the meeting of sculptors with different backgrounds and interests produces fascinating synergies. GLASS / RESIN The final part of an inspiring series on how sculptors work today, this time focussing on the work of those whose medium is glass or resin. Including Simon Hitchens FRBS, Brigitte Jurack ARBS, Peter Newsome ARBS, Henry Richardson ARBS, Antonia Spowers ARBS, Johannes Von Stumm FRBS and Lucy Swift Bursary. Display: 5th September – 23rd November 2007 Talk 2: Wednesday 21st November 2007 Gallery opens at 6.30pm. Talk: 7 – 8pm. Free. |
