RBS Award Types
 

The RBS offers several awards, including;

   
 

 

 

RBS Bursary Awards

10 awarded every year.

These are designed to support the professional development of talented early career s culptors and to assist them in making the transition to fully professional practice.

Awards include:

- Bursary membership for 2 years with the full range of RBS services.

- Participation in the group exhibition of winners' work in the RBS Galleries.

- Participation in the sculpture slam/public gallery talks about their work.

- Subsidised opportunity to join the online gallery in the RBS website.

- Subsidised opportunity to participate in 'Sculpting a Living' 6 professional training seminars

- Access to the RBS mentoring scheme

- Invitations to all RBS events.

- The offer of full membership if they intend to continue practicing as a sculptor after the Bursary.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2009 BURSARY AWARDS ARE NOW CLOSED.

The RBS awards ten membership places for sculptors of outstanding talent and potential each year. We welcome applications from artists of any age and nationality, with or without formal training, who are at the beginning of their practice. All styles and media are considered, including installation, site specific, conceptual and video work.

All sculptors at the beginning of their practice, whatever form that takes, are welcome to apply.

FIRST@108: Public Art Award 2009

supporting excellence and innovation

Designed to offer emerging Sculptors the opportunity to develop the necessary experience, confidence and track record to extend their practice into competing for public art commissions, FIRST@108 is a new public art award which aims to promote excellence and innovation in Public Art.

The award includes:

- Participation in exhibition of 5 short listed works
