Professional membership of the RBS is by application and is open to all professional sculptors working in the UK or overseas. Applications for membership are

| ASSOCIATE ARBS Candidates will normally have successfully completed relevant formal academic studies. Consideration and selection is undertaken by the Council of Trustees with delegate powers and subject to the formal approval of the general membership.

| FELLOW FRBS In the case of candidates of exceptional distinction previous Associate Membership of the RBS may be waived as a pre-requesite. Fellows are nominated annually and selected by a meeting of Fellows at the AGM.

| BURSARY 10 awarded every year At the end of the two years, Bursary winners are automatically awarded full Associate membership. Consideration and selection is by a specialist panel from within the membership and is strictly on a competitive basis.
